A vibrant, heartwarming tale set in 1930s New York. Young Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York orphanage run by the cruel, bitter Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other children, Annie manages to escape. She embarks on an adventure involving police chases and slimy crooks, but with a little assistance, she succeeds in thwarting Miss Hannigan’s evil plans—and even befriends President Franklin D. Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable dog named Sandy.
